“FUN” Friday- Ice Ice Baby

BUCKET LIST – No. 2

In the spirit of winter and freezing temperatures, I dedicate this post to ICE. Being “FUN” Friday is typically a bucket list for me, this next place is a must for me someday. It is not out of the reach for me as I have been to Quebec on a roadtrip before. It is completely do-able. I’m talking about the Hôtel de Glace in Quebec or “Ice Hotel”… awesome! I will spend a night there. It looks magical (very cold) but MAGICAL! If you want to check it out… please follow the link.

Doesn’t that look amazing?!

I have been in some “icy” situations. I am going to share one today. My husband and I got married in 2006 and decided to go to New Zealand for our honeymoon. We only had 17 days but we saw ALOT! It was one of the most beautiful places I have seen. We decided one night to go for a drink and we ended up at the Minus5° Ice Bar in Queenstown. I don’t think I have ever layered up with that many clothes to go to a bar before- hee hee. I am glad we did! It was freezing in there but so awesome. I was in heaven. I don’t drink much (none at all now) but my preffered drink is Vodka. They had every kind you can imagine. So, the experience was that much more enjoyable. It was a “cool” thing to do (pardon the pun!). Here are a few pics from our experience.
